C.A.R.E.S. – Child Abuse Rescue through Education in Schools
This program provides educational programs in local schools for children in the classroom about recognizing the signs of child abuse.
It enables our facilitator to go into all County and City elementary schools to teach the meaning of child abuse. She assures them that abuse is never their fault and teaches them how to report abuse. The teacher creates opportunities for children to discuss and report child abuse occurring in homes. This service is a valuable tool in helping our community combat child abuse.
